About the Author

Who Is Fannie Smith

Deaconess Fannie B. Smith (deceased), the author, taught this course for 18 years at Queen Street Baptist Church of Hampton, Virginia, the local Assembly of God Church, and to members of various denominations. Weekly, she visited and ministered to the sick and shut-ins. On Wednesdays, she taught her Noon Chronological Bible Class at QSBC.

Business: Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer; partner at the Smith Brothers' Funeral in Hampton, VA.

Honors and Awards:

• Civil Service Sustained Superior Performance Award
• ISP (international) gold membership pin
• Distinguished Member Plaque,
• Bronze plaque of merit for poem "Judgment Day" 1996 (published in Recollections of Yesterday)
• Poem "Only One More Mile," has been selected for the Sound of Poetry, which is one of the thirty-three selected out of the thousands submitted.
